Jamie J. Kelly writes micro, flash and other short fiction and creative nonfiction and volunteers as an Associate Prose Editor for Typehouse Literary Magazine.
Together with writing shorter pieces, Jamie is working on Story About A Girl, a novel searching for its proper title that explores queer awakening, grief, hope, love and pride in 1970s and 1980s Britain.
Jamie is working towards a PhD in English Literature and their literary research focuses on slam poetry, contemporary American LGBT memoir and fiction, together with broader work on LGBT media, pop, queer music subcultures and online fandoms. Jamie is a volunteer for several local and national LGBT charities.
